Where's the time go?
Where does the time go?
Everything passes so quickly...Scotland was 3 years ago, have been finished Uni for 2 years and Ty will be 2 in less than a month, to name a few things...
I've now been back 3 months. Can't really say I've done too much in that time either. Still looking for a job, though I am taking the marketing and management course right now. But I'm going crazy sitting at home just about everyday.
Most days I spend reading and doing my coursework, if it's nice I'm outside by the pool.
My evenings consist of gambling with my mom. Ha! We bet on everything. We have a Canadian Idol bet going on (in which I'm currently $0.50 out). Mostly we gamble at cards. We play several rounds of Kanasta a night. Currently I'm up $2 in that.
As well once the sun goes down and it gets a little cooler we play badminton. Actually this we just started 3 nights ago. The first night I did horrible! I lost 8 of 12 games!!! The second night though I won all 9 games! And tonight I won 5 of 6! This of course we play for money as well! The winner gets a quarter per game.
This morning, as we do every Saturday morning, my sister, Ty and I go to Tudhope Park in Orillia to go for a walk on the Trans Canada Trail. It's so nice there! Three quarters of the path runs alongside the lake. Ty loves it there as he also gets to play in the water. Today though we didn't have Ty, so we took a short cut. But shhh...that's a secret!
This evening I decided that I wanted to go on a hike. So I took my mom to the Kashe Barrens Trail behind the Muskoka Information Center. My god!!! I've never seen so many mosquitos in all my life! And I've lived in Muskoka coming up on 20 years now! We had thought enough ahead to put on bugspray, not that it really did any good though! I am absolutely covered in bites now!! So itchy!!! Well after about 20 minutes we got to a point where you had to cross a small bridge over a swamp, but the bridge was half under water...so at that point we turned around. Next time we'll try the trail in Gravenhurst, maybe there won't be that many bugs there.
So this is pretty much how I've been spending the three months since my return to Muskoka. It's nice in the summer time, but my god I hope I'm not still living here this time next year. Someone shot me if I am!!!
