'The Fab Four' Concert
Well, that was actually a really good evening out! :)
Just got back from Rama Casino from an evening out that my sister and I had arranged back in May for Mom's birthday. We had given her tickets to "The Fab Four" (Beatles Tribute Band) and invited her out to dinner at the Casino. Dinner was pretty good actually, then my Mom had brought old casino chips of my Dad's to exchange since the Casino has now gone coin free (all done with paper receipts now)...but while there we thought it was better to gamble with Dad's money! lol
What a fabulous idea actually!! We were at one time before the concert up $100...then we had to go for the show. Which was actually SO good!!!
My sister and I felt a bit young seeing as everyone else in the house was middle aged or older...who knew "The Beatles" could cause so much trouble...a lady who had stood up to dance like mad was asked to sit down, and several people were told to put their lighters out during "Yesterday"...my Mom said it was so good that if she hadn't of known otherwise she would of thought it was the real thing...My sister and I got really into it, clapping and singing....making me look so much more forward to the Oldies Street Dance in Orillia at the end of the summer....(hey Bobbi, think I can find another old man to hold my hand during that Beatles song this year??)
Then after the show, since we were up anyways, we thought we'd go back to our lucky machine ($1 Big Time Pays or something slot) and try with more of "Dad's" money. Well we were doing super...up $200.....but sadly by the time we stopped...we had $80 more than what Dad had started with...so we split the surplus between us, and when we got home gave Dad his original money back. LOL....that's what he gets for having lived with 3 girls most of his life!! :)
While playing, every time we won any amount we got so excited. LOL, all three of us would yell "Woo Hoo!!", even if it was just a credit of 2 or 5. People walking by probably thought we were a bit strange, but it was fun an exciting! And well that's just the way we normally act any how...
Before going out my Mom and I made a bet. She bet me a dollar that I wouldn't be carded tonight...and I said I would be (always am). Well I almost got by, but the guard changed his mind at the end and asked to see ID...so we teased him a bit about it, then carried on. I even managed a successful night out in heels!! Without stumbling or falling once!! And I even could do a full on Mary Catherine Gallagher (Molly Shannon SNL character) Superstar jump without falling! IMPRESSIVE :)
No weekly trip to the park with Ty and my sister tomorrow seeing as its been SO damn hot....I'll have to think of something else to do...
So here's a pic of us before going out....

I'm sure you'll find someone to hold your hand.
And if all else fails, and you're really feeling the pain of not having a hand to hold... hell... I'll do it for ya.
