Canasta Night
Well Gladys came to visit us this past weekend, and Saturday night we (My sister, Gladys, Mom and I) spent playing Canasta until about 3:30am. We drew cards to see who would be playing together...Gladys and I ended up being partners for the night. Unfortunately, neither of us were particularly lucky with the jokers...so by the end of the evening we had lost several dollars...lol...ah well...I'll just have to make it up by playing more badminton once the heat wave ends.
Gladys had stopped by the Krautgartner's bakery in Barrie on her way up here and picked up the amazing Hazelnut/Brandy Cake. SO GOOD! I'm glad I don't live in Barrie though...I'd make far too many visits to the bakery...last time my sister and I were in Barrie it took us 30 minutes to decide what we wanted. This delicatessen beats the one in St. Catharines by far! Even though they don't have Fanta or the bonbons I like...but their actual baked good far surpass the deli in St. Kitts. If you happen to be in Barrie, definitely worth the stop...its on Bayfield just a few blocks up from the main strip.
Sunday I went with Bobbi to Whitby...enjoyed ourselves, but I started feeling quite sick on the way home...only to end up spending the next two days in bed. Most of the time, when not sleeping, I spent watching the first two seasons of "Sex and the City". Not quite sure what it was but today I actually felt pretty much normal...even managed to fall out of the chair while talking to Bobbi on the phone...hmmm...yes that is normal for me.
Last night I watched "Hotel Rwanda". What a sad movie, but really well done. Haven't cried that much at a movie in a while...since "The Notebook" (hahaha, I'm a Nicholas Sparks fan).
I've posted a pic of our Canasta night and a pic of my sister at about 5 months pregnant. I absolutely love pregnant women! It's so fascinating to see them grow!! Am quite sad that this will be the last time I'll see my sister pregnant, but can't wait for my new nephew or niece.
I'm listening to a live dance party on the radio from some place in downtown Toronto on Z103.5 FM...its all such old dance music...but I'm quite enjoying it...reminding me of the MUCH music dance parties we used to have in highschool...wow, I'd love to go back in time now...just to have one more of those dances...
Ok, that's all for now. My sister and I are taking my Mom to Rama on Friday for the "Fab 4" Concert...I'll let you know how it was.
P.S. Woo Hoo for me! I figured out how to change the blog to the proper timezone! Kickass!

Was I supposed to admit to falling off a chair on here? Hmm...well if you ask me about it, I'll deny it! ;)
And great...how pathetic is that...this is the second time I've commented on my own blog in one night.....
