Weekend + Monday
I started my Saturday with a quick stop at the mall to see how the set-up was going for the Faith Fair. I only stuck around tops half an hour, then headed to Rob’s to pick up car seats for Bobbi’s boys. Because I was already worried about being late, I headed straight to Whitby, avoiding a quick stop at Timmies (at least until I was down there then picked up Timmies for everyone).

(Me with Bobbi's boys before heading down to the rodeo!)
A bit after I got down there we headed in to Markham for the Rodeo! Bobbi, the boys and I drove down, and Bobbi’s friends took the train/bus. Or at least they were supposed to. They made it to Ajax where I then drove back to pick them up. Got a sunburn on my drive back there. So now I’ve got one red arm, but it’s all good.
The rodeo was pretty fun, though highly disappointed with the ratio of cowgirls to cowboys. AND even worse, the selection of the limited number of cowboys there was even more disappointing. All old and not at all cowboy-esque. Ah well, would have just been nice to look at. Enjoyed ourselves anyways.

(One of the biggest events was the performance by the Canadian CowGIRLS.)
We then headed back to Bobbi’s for dinner and we played some Uno and Scategories.
(Richie and I had gone to A&P after getting back to Whitby to grab dessert and found this great looking chocolate boston cream cake!)
All in all it was a good day! I got back to Muskoka at 4:30am. Sunday I slept pretty much all day. Woke up at 11am, stayed up 30 mins then went back to bed until 5:30pm. Was up until around 9:30pm then slept another hour and a half or so. Stayed up a few then went back to sleep.
Tonight I went to the Casino with my Mom and we watched The Chinese Opera and Dance Drama Theatre. It was really good! Though, strangely, I sometimes felt like I was back in Japan. At least 85% of the audience was oriental. My mom is the one who stated that “This is what you must have felt like in Japan”, and at that point I was just like yeah kind of, but at least here I can understand everything. But the singer who sang “I will always love you in” in English, made me laugh hysterically (felt kind of bad for laughing during her performance because she was an incredible singer). The accent made me remember my Japanese students and their difficulties pronouncing r’s and l’s. THEN, the thing that really made the night…I look over and the Chinese guy beside me is SLEEPING. Everywhere you went in Japan you were bound to find at least one person sleeping. Walking out of the show the middle-aged lady in front of us is wearing a shirt that says: I love heart sex. It doesn’t just say it once, but the entire shirt is printed with this line. A classic Jap-English shirt!
At any rate, the performance was super!! The dancing was beautiful and the singing incredible. Wish I could say we won another jackpot, but that wasn’t in the cards tonight I guess. Ah well, next time…won’t have to wait too long either because we are going back to see Sinbad on June 9th (I believe that’s the date).
