Fortune-less

Bobbi and I ordered Chinese for dinner.

It appears I have no fortune! :(

Kinsey's Observation

I ducked out of the office and continued along the upper level, peering briefly into every room I passed, including the men’s room. A startled-looking fellow in a business suit was just shaking himself off. God, that would be convenient. If there were any justice in the world, women would have the little hang-down things and men would get stuck with putting the paper down on the seats.

From Sue Grafton’s “I” Is For Innocent

Now tell me, what woman hasn’t thought this at some point. Kinsey (the P.I. in the series) is a smart lady. I like her.

No news. Going out for dinner tomorrow night with my parents, sister and brother-in-law to celebrate mine and my sister’s new jobs.

Job, Bobbi's Move, Concert...

Well have been a bit busier than in the recent past, so I’ve pretty much been on the go and have enjoyed it.

First, I’ve had several interviews, a few in Toronto, resulting in a job offer from a non-profit which I declined for a few reasons, and one in Orillia for the position of Marketing Coordinator for the mall. This I was offered on Friday and I accepted it. Sounds like an awesome job, doing all the promotions, special events, advertisements, PR and also have to manage the gift certificate program. Exactly along the lines of what I want to be doing. For now this position is a 6 month contract (which sucks, but great experience) as the previous coordinator has been on extended sick leave for 6 months already. So we’ll see what happens. I start in two weeks.

On the long weekend I helped Bobbi move to Whitby. We ended Monday with daiquiris and tequila slammers.

Went to the BSB concert with Melissa August 2nd. Yay sexy hats. I’ve included a few pictures.

Also this Wednesday through Friday I watched Ty during the days as my sister had to cancel her holidays because of her new job (which she starts tomorrow) and she’d already given the sitter notice. So anyways, no bother, Ty and I had great fun! One day I turned the lights on and Ty looked surprised so I said “And God said, ‘Let there be light!’”. Ty thought that was funny, so now when you ask him, “What does God say?” he responds with “Yayaya LIGHT!!” with his arms stretched out above his head. It’s so cute!! :)

Well that’s all I can think of for now!!
